SPM manufactures leadframes deflashing equipment in different versions according with customer requirements.

We have been producing semiconductor equipment for years and got a great experience. This allowed us to perfectionate our technology and tools.

The deflahing process is archieved with following steps:

₪ Leadframes loading (manually or automatically)
₪ Chemistry section (robot transfer or conveyor depending on configuration)
₪ Hi-pressure waterjet section (conveyor transfer of single leadframes)
₪ Drying section
₪ Leadframes unloading (manually or automatically)

We can provide full process equipment, that includes all steps in an unique machine, or separate steps modules.

SPM equipment are capable to handle different leadframes format without any operator conversion needed. Machine is autoadjustable according to leadframes size.

Automatic leadframes load station

SPM can add the full automatic loading station. Several automated axis will accomplish the loading of single leadframes catching it from transfer basket and deposing on SPM process carrier or on conveyor (depending on equipment concept). The system automatically detects leadframe dimensions and will auto-adjust itself accordingly.

Chemistry module

For solvents we normally adopt stainless steel materials according with safety rules in term of anti-fire protection. With Acids-Bases we use specific corrosion resistant plastics materials (also FM4882 Approved). In both cases we use just high-performance materials that guaranteed no chemical contamination or degradation, safety and long equipment lifetime.

Chemistry section can be configured to operate with a 2 servomotors axis robot that transfer a basket containing all leadframes or like a special conveyor that moves leadframes one by one inside process and rinse tanks.

Chemistry section can be equipped with several options:

Rinse, process and dryer tanks are designed and realized by SPM using only top performance materials and latest construction technologies.

Hi-Pressure waterjet station

Waterjet module is composed by:

  • hi-pressure pump
  • automatic conveyor for leadframes transfer (capable to auto adapt according to leadframe format)
  • Hi-pressure sintered diamond nozzles to spread out pressure H2ODI
    Automatic conveyor is the core of the station. SPM continuously improves the design of the system to perform better leadframes deflashing and reliability.

Drying station

This station perform the drying of leadframes. According to equipment configuration this operation will be done one leadframes per time or processing the entire batch, drying all the process carrier full loaded of leaframes. Dryer preferred method use hot air generated by a dedicated high performance fan with integrated heater.

Automatic leadframes unload station

SPM can add the full automatic unloading station. Several automated axis will accomplish the unloading of single leadframes. The system automatically detects leadframe dimensions and will auto-adjust itself accordingly.

All SPM deflashing equipment are ruled by PLC and touch screen to manage entire system. Software is developed by SPM engineers with modern graphic and with extensive features like:

• Recipe management
• Datalogging: real time and historical
• P&I direct control: act directly on valves and pumps for maintenance
• Host SECS-GEM interface (optional)

All tools are realized following safety CE rules. We can build our equipment with ATEX certification in case it’s needed.
